As a cyclist I an only add 1 comment-please invest in a very good bicycle lock. Worth the $$$$$. And riding your bike to your destination-glorious and freeing. Just beware of being downwind of the manure spraying tractors. you will ride through a fog of pretty smelly stuff. And I have also been the recipient of manure catapults. These are equally dreadful.
Haha, Sandy! That is one of the most interesting pieces of cycling advice of I've heard in a very long time. Manure catapults! That's definitely a thing that most of us in urban and suburban areas never have to deal with!
Well Renato-FYI-at least you can see the manure catapults hurling at you and take evasive measures. The manure fog? You don't even know you are in it, until you are IN IT! And there is no escape, and that smell stays with you until you are finished your ride and fully shower. Catapults are the lesser of 2 evils.
