Some years ago, I was inspired to try sketching when I came across the work of Spanish-born artist Gabi Campanario, who uses drawing as a storytelling technique. Gabi was an artist at the Seattle Times for about 10 years. He founded a group called Urban Sketchers, which brings together people from around the world and encourages on-location drawing. …
